Crystal Norbeck
Crystal Norbeck grew up in Regina. She earned a Bachelor of Human Justice degree from the University of Regina in 1998, then moved to Edmonton to attend the College of Law at the University of Alberta law school. Crystal received a Bachelor of Laws degree in 2002 and was called to the Alberta Bar in 2003. She practised law in Edmonton for five years before returning to Regina in 2007 to take a position as counsel for the Canadian Union of Public Employees. Crystal joined Gerrand Rath Johnson LLP in the fall of 2012 and became a partner in 2014.
Crystal practices primarily administrative law and civil litigation, with a focus on labour, human rights and employment law. Crystal acts as counsel to unions and employees on a wide range of labour and employment law issues and has appeared before the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board and Arbitration Boards, as well as all levels of Court in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Crystal is a member of the Canadian Bar Association, Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers and the Regina Bar Association. She has chaired and presented at conferences and speaking events for lawyers and for members of the public on various topics, including human rights, social media and addictions.
